Chapter 581 - The Day Of The Wedding
Casia was a mess, but the divinity I was gathering was insane. Each hour I would feel Abyssal Night racing through my veins, enhancing me without limit till my bones cracked.
"You got a ring?" A sudden voice announced, startling me.
Stepping out from the shadows, I turned and smiled at Vancurro draped in a black suit. His face was no longer cold but relatively warm and friendly. However, no one could miss that condescending smile over his lips.
"I do," I answered, and he approached. Fixing my tie, he chuckled.
"Well, toss it. We got you one, and I am afraid, Zariel will not be here to see you off. It seems Aurelia\'s little stunt had him struck by The Heavenly Father. When will that idiot learn? He will be out of commission for a while."
"You\'re my best man?" I amusingly jeered as he solemnly nodded.
"You bet your ass, I am. The amount of shit we went through, even if you\'re a got damn cannibal, I still trust you with my life. But seriously, what the hell? Who does that? I would have thought your little brother would be the first to do that, but I guess we were wrong." He swore, pulling back and eyeing me with a faint smile of both bitterness and appreciation.
I smiled and touched my chest. My heart was gone, but I could still feel that phantom pulsing thundering like drums resonating through my bones.
"And my Mother?"
"I am not privlage to know. I just broke past the Thirty Three Heavens. I was late to the game and was left behind; we both were, so I don\'t know, the details revolving around her." He apologetically answered.
"I see," I murmured, a bit sadden, but not enough for it to devour the joy I was feeling. "A lot of people are about to die."
"That is what is to be expected from a damn Snow. All of you are bastards." He teased, narrowing his wolf-like eyes, "I\'ll see you out there." He said, vanishing from sight just as a knock resounded through my chamber door.
Not needing to ask who it was, one of the Maids opened the door, causing my smile to grow at the ashen face King standing in my doorway. Not taking my gaze off the blackened skies, I chuckled, "Tian Wang, I presume?" I said without having to turn my eyes in his direction.
"I have your parents," he threatened.
"I\'m a devil. I can bring them back as demons or devils. You will have to threaten me better, especially when I have your only son. How did you like the present Yura delivered? I heard she chopped the tip of your son\'s cock off." I calmly remarked, noticing the vibrant shadows of Wings flashing from the clouds. Sweat trickled from my brow as a jittery fire boiled in the pit of my stomach.
"Are you proud?" He mocked.
"The angels came after me," I lightly replied, "And now, look at them? Look at the panic they are facing? War is coming, and you, Tian Wang, are going to face it with me. You, your wife, your son, and your people."
"Because of this prophecy?" He barked, baring his fangs like a wild beast.
"Well, that helps." I added, having a faint idea of what all of it could mean, "But it\'s so much more than that. It\'s all about who will survive. It\'s not the angels you must worry about. The angels are the devil\'s problem; my war with them will start later. I am going to destroy your only hope to get out of this."
"What are you talking about?" He uttered, his tone faint like a fearful woman.
"The Court of Nox, the biggest group, and a compilation of every major organization in the Bed of Chaos, and possibly the other Realms. You see, I just learned of Soul Oaths; I realized there are so many ways to prove innocence. And I think you have been doing just that. Maybe it was with the angels, maybe it was something else, but what do you think will happen if I do the unspeakable?"
I turned to Tian Wang and snickered, enjoying the ashen grimace that ran over his expression. Covered in sweat, the Great Celestrial appeared like a tattered man without the grace of a king.
"Tell me, was Sulton there to help you? Was he there to assist you in your endeavor against me? Of course, he was. After all, he is probably the only one capable of challenging your father. Trust is such a fragile concept, and it is all but established a devil will always find a loophole. " I remarked, stepping close towards the Current Celestial King.
"I had promised your father not to kill you or banish you to the Hells, but you struck my wife." I calmly replied as the throbbing that had never vanished in my left eye grew. Masking my growing wrath, a smile touched upon my lips, as it was all I could do, not to have my devils drag this shit to hell.
"Go see your daughter," I calmly said, "and do remember Tian Wang." I said, when all of a sudden my voice turned icy like the hells, bringing with the Dao of Abyssal Night, "You are now mine!" I coldly claimed, taking my leave without another word.
Appearing by my side, as I walked through Yu Lans palace, Mimir draped in the best suit Casia had to offer, chuckled, seeming more like a kid than a wise old man I once saw. It had taken a while, but I finally understand why so many people in the Holy Swords look old. Impressions genuinely are everything.
"Lilith said that you had daughters. Are you not going to use them as the flower girls?" He asked as I nodded.
"I am. We are just changing their looks. Lilith actually went to the King of Hell and demanded he do their makeup. I swear I don\'t understand why he lets her get away with such a thing. That madman actually agreed. It seems my wifey can handle anything.
"The Holy Swords are here," he warned as I grinned.
"Good. The bigger the suspicion, the more they will try to prove who I am. Shame no one will be able to see through my disguises.. The Laws of Darkness, or should I say Abyssal Night, will reign supreme."
